52 canvases a year - first impulse - 'ridiculous - what am i a machine?" then - impossible..then wait - ok...lets think about it:

thats an average of one a week.

Now i have pieces that took me 20 years to finish. I admit there are 5 full painitngs inside that one, but regardless thats how long it took me to consider it "finished".

I remember "Rage" a piece that took 2.5 hours and was finished.

I had been working on a serene landscape and just wasn't getting anywhere. i finally pulled a piece of shelving and painted on that.

Thats when i sort of started to have more than one painting going.

So actually, not impossible and not a machine....just being an artist.
