like smelling coffee- toys are cleaning my palette

so the process of making art with toys is cleaning my palette. i intentionally push things brighter than i usually do and the subject matter is new and fun. i am not trying to do anything- not to be fine art, or painterly, or meaningful- just doing good work simplified and clear.

clarity is something i generally don't go for. in my opinion, things are never clear- always fogy and ambiguous...but toys? toys can just be toys, all the ambiguity is going to come by itself.
(when looking at the innocent impressionist period one can notice that germans never really got the "innocent" "joyful" part of the movement. all their impressionist work has a bitter after taste of cynicism)
