...do you paint birds?

(this is not a call for bird painting artists)
no really i hear there is a good market for birds.
"....do you want to be an artist or an art star.." I just want to make a salary. nothing fancy- just an occupation that allows me to create art and enrich the lives of other people
should i learn to paint birds? when do i become a machine listening only to the input of my "employer"?
...wish it was that easy. employer, lol. isn't art something we share, emotions we communicate- ideas and thoughts? when do i loose my innocence and love..?
